Jane B Namurye holds a MA in Peace Studies and International Relations from the Catholic University of East Africa and a BA in Community Development and Business Administration from Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya.

Jane is herself one of the Daughters of Li Tim Oi. Jane worked as a journalist with the Sudan Radio Service in Nairobi Kenya and she also served with UNOCHA’s Integrated Regional Information Network (IRIN) radio, where she covered humanitarian reporting on South Sudan (2003-2007). Jane worked with the Episcopal Church of South Sudan’s Justice, Peace and Reconciliation Commission (JPRC) from 2013-2016.

Jane now works for the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Reconciliation Ministry in London. She travels widely in pursuit of peace and training of trainers for grassroots reconciliation. Jane believes that reaching out to women with practical skills liberates them from poverty and builds their self-esteem.
