We welcome applications for the award of the Inaugural Li Tim-Oi Foundation Fellowship, to commence in 2027.

We strongly encourage applications from women educators or emerging scholars working on research:

• In any relevant field that is related to or concerned with the life, ministry and legacy of Florence Li Tim-Oi (1907 – 1992);
• Or which relates to the work of the Daughters of Li Tim-Oi and its broader impact in the life of the church and wider world.

Applicants will have:

• Either a PhD and be in an academic post (preferably from a developing nation);
• or be near the completion of a PhD at a reputable higher education institution.

The person appointed to the Fellowship will be expected to:

• Give a public lecture on their findings, which can be done in their country of domicile but must be available for presentation on the Foundation website;
• Submit two copies of any publication arising from their tenure as Fellow;
• Write a report on their tenure as Fellow for submission to the Foundation Trustees and for posting on the Foundation website.

An honorarium of $1,500 (USD) will be paid for one semester and will be used to contribute towards research costs and other support.  Half the honorarium will be paid at commencement and the balance on successful completion.

Under exceptional circumstances, the Trustees may also contribute towards travel costs for the Fellow to deliver a lecture or presentations in the UK or another host country.

• Letter of application outlining their proposed project with any relevant supporting documents;
• Names and contact details of at least two academic referees;
• Letter of support from their bishop, college or university.
